A Journey of Progress: How UMI Trailers Became a Manufacturing Leader
UMI Trailers was established in 2013 by Mr. Muhammed Irfan. Before its establishment, UMI operated as a welding and repair workshop, following its earlier operations as a welding and repair workshop that served the local community.
The shift to trailer manufacturing in 2013 marked a key milestone in UMI’s growth. With a skilled team of engineers, UMI Trailers successfully launched its operations and quickly gained recognition in the UAE market.
UMI manufactured over 1,000 trailers in its first year, playing a key role in supporting the UAE’s $34 billion infrastructure projects in 2013. In 2017, UMI contributed to the $2.96 billion Abu Dhabi Airport Expansion, showcasing its ability to meet the demands of large-scale developments. By 2021, UMI took another major step, fulfilling the transport and logistics needs for the NEOM City Project, a Major $1.5 trillion initiative running through 2030. These achievements have established UMI as a Leader in the UAE’s Manufacturing industry.
Our Vision and Expansion Goals
At UMI Trailers, our mission goes beyond manufacturing trailers. Our Planning Team aim to expand our product reach to Turkey and Sudan and across the Middle East, building on our strong presence in countries like Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Sudan, Iran, Qatar, Iraq, Kuwait and others. We’re committed to helping grow transportation networks and improve logistics infrastructure in these regions by always delivering our best.

Every trailer we produce is built to meet strict industry standards, ensuring they perform well and last even in tough conditions.
Towards a Brighter Future: UMI Trailers’ Next Steps
In 2025 to 2029, UMI’s Manufacturing Department aims to be a participant in the upcoming Metro Blue Line project, set to begin in April 2025. The department is focused on preparing to manufacture and deliver a large number of trailers to support the construction of the Metro Blue Line through to 2029
